Earwax removal
Microsuction earwax removal is a safe and effective way to remove excess earwax from the ear canal.
It involves using a small suction device to gently and precisely remove the wax buildup without the need for water or other liquids.
Microsuction is available in clinic or at home for just £50 for one or both ears (£20 consultation fee applies if no wax present and no procedure required).

What are the signs I might need a hearing test?
- Asking people to repeat themselves
- Difficulty hearing in noise/groups
- Struggling to hear when you can’t see the person’s face (e.g. on the phone or when wearing masks)
- Turning the TV volume up
- Feeling tired or stressed from concentrating on conversation
Cambrian Hearing offers 2 types of hearing test
Full assessment - £50
·Video otoscopy to record the health and condition of the ears.
·Tympanometry to assess middle ear function.
·A full hearing test to determine the level and type of hearing loss.
·A free hearing aid demonstration and trial (if appropriate).

Hearing check - free
- Standard otoscopy to check the ears for wax, and to check the health of the ears
- A hearing screening check to determine if there is any hearing loss present.

My name is Laura Stone, I live in Oswestry with my husband and 3 children & I’ve been a HCPC registered hearing aid dispenser since 2017.
I qualified with a distinction at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge in 2017, and in 2018 completed microsuction wax removal training at Aston University in Birmingham.
Since qualifying, I have worked in a variety of roles and organisations from independent audiology clinics, to NHS clinics, and a senior management role with a national chain.
I’m a hearing aid wearer myself so know first hand how it feels to learn you have hearing loss (my husband was definitely not as surprised as I was by this news!) and what it’s like to wear hearing aids on a daily basis.
I’m really excited to bring a fully independent, family run hearing practice to Old Chapel Court, Oswestry. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you or a loved one need help or advice with your hearing!
